Gazillion Closing It's Doors Sooner Than Expected, Every Employee Being Laid Off

Marvel Heroes is being shut down sooner than expected, ending this week. This is much quicker than expected, and it looks like every employee at Gazillion is being laid off as well.

It was just last week that the news that Gazillion was shutting down its project Marvel Heroes, which just made its console debut after originally launching on PC.

The original story had a date of closure, December 31, and now that date has changed. The date has been pushed to November 24, which is tomorrow. The developer for the game is being disbanded, leaving employees without jobs right before the holiday season. The worst part, is that they have received no severance pay.

The announcement comes from this screengrab from the company’s Discord. This situation ramped up so rapidly and is very unfortunate.

My Take - My thoughts are with the entire team affected by this, and I hope they all land on their feet soon and safely.
