IO Interactive Spills Some Details About the 'Next Hitman Game'

After having a very hectic year, IO Interactive wants to let Hitman fans know that they are just getting started with this property.

In a blog post, the company posted a universal thank-you with the launch of Hitman's "Game of The Year" edition. This edition offers every map from the base game along with some bonus content. With these details about this version of the most recent Hitman seems like a good time to drop some minor details about the next one in the series. CEO of IOI Hakan Abrak said, "I want to let you know that we’re making great progress and we have exciting new features and some franchise firsts, which we can’t wait to tell you all about."

Abrak didn't offer any other details about the "next Hitman game". It could be mean that there might be a second season for Hitman or a completely new Hitman game. He noted that more details will be coming at "some point in 2018."

This is good news for IOI, with them being sold by Square Enix, suffering layoffs, and gaining independence in the same year.
